Celebrating 73rd anniversary of Viet Nam-China diplomatic ties
The Vietnamese Embassy in China held a ceremony on February 23 to mark the 73rd anniversary of the Viet Nam-China diplomatic relations with the participation of Vietnamese expatriates and Chinese officials, businessmen, and experts.
Addressing the event, the Vietnamese Ambassador to China, Pham Sao Mai, highlighted the historical significance of establishing Viet Nam-China diplomatic relations 73 years ago.
Ambassador Pham stressed that the Party, State and people of Viet Nam always attach great importance to consolidating and strengthening friendship and cooperation with their Chinese peers.
He affirmed that Viet Nam considers developing relations with China one of the top priorities in its foreign policy.
2023 is essential for Viet Nam-China relations as both countries celebrate the 15th founding anniversary of their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
Since the beginning of this year, China's optimization of its epidemic prevention and control policy has created favorable conditions for the comprehensive restoration of exchanges and collaboration between the two countries.
The diplomat said it was necessary to strengthen political trust, expand and improve the effectiveness of cooperation across fields, and promote people-to-people exchanges and tourism collaboration.
The two countries should satisfactorily address disagreements based on respecting each other's legitimate interests under international law, contributing to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership./.
