Nestlé Vietnam among nation's largest corporate taxpayers

The GDT started to release the list of the 1,000 largest corporate taxpayers in Vietnam in 2016. Nestlé Vietnam has been ranked among the top 100 corporate taxpayers for six consecutive years. The recognition is a testament to the company's constant efforts to contribute to the state budget as well as Vietnam’s socioeconomic development.

In addition, Nestlé Vietnam was also awarded certificates of merit by tax departments and local authorities in the localities where it operates. The certificates indicate that the company has fulfilled its tax obligations and contributed to social security in the localities.

On November 8, Nestlé Vietnam was awarded the certificate of merit by the Dong Nai Tax Department at a conference to honour the top taxpayers in 2020-2021.

Speaking at the conference, Nguyen Toan Thang, deputy director of Dong Nai Tax Department said, "The COVID-19 outbreak affected socioeconomic activities in the 2020–2021 period and many businesses suffered from financial difficulties, with some even failing to maintain business continuity. In this context, the Dong Nai Tax Department has launched some initiatives to help businesses overcome their obstacles. As a result, we have exceeded the estimates in collecting the state budget revenue for the 2020-2021 period."
