PM calls for development of semiconductor industry and human resources
Software design and development, especially chip production, have become global trends.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has instructed FPT University and FPT Software to pay greater attention to human resources training and take information technology as their development foundation.
During a working visit to the two organizations at the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park in Hanoi on April 14, Prime Minister Chinh said software design and development, especially chip production, match FPT’s strategy, global trends, and the domestic situation.
In response to the strong development of the semiconductor industry and technology around the world, FPT proposed the government create the necessary conditions to develop human resources in Vietnam, particularly semiconductor designers.
Vietnam also needs to set up a national center to help the semiconductor industry develop long-term human resources and attract international investors in building factories and conducting training, according to FPT.
The Prime Minister agreed with the corporation’s proposal to establish a resources connection center and affirmed that the State would adopt policies in this regard.
FPT has been Vietnam’s digital transformation pioneer, has a presence in 29 countries, and is a digital transformation partner of hundreds of corporations and organizations around the world.
It established FPT University in 2006, a new generation university that trains IT human resources.
