Quang Ninh targets FDI of $1bln in 2023

Northern Quang Ninh province targets attracting over $1 billion worth of FDI in 2023.
It has prepared a list of 18 projects seeking foreign investment this year, including 16 new projects and two with additional investment capital, according to acting Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Cao Tuong Huy.
It held a range of activities last month to welcome foreign investors seeking investment opportunities, including those from Thailand and Japan.
Its industrial parks and economic zones attracted $623.8 million worth of FDI last year.
The provincial Economic Zone Management Board reported that all industrial parks have invested in infrastructure, with waste treatment facilities that meet environmental protection standards. Occupancy stands at 60.43 per cent.
