Vietnamese alumni, institutions spotlight Canadian education in talk show series

The first ever online education talk shows, titled “Canada – Chat with Alumni” will be held on July 18 & 25.

The event will also have representatives of several institutions on hand to answer questions, offering practical information about studying in Canada’s secondary schools, colleges, universities and language schools.

The series of 4 talk shows will be livestreamed on the Facebook pages of the Consulate General and the Embassy of Canada in Vietnam.

Together, the Vietnamese alumni and representatives of Canadian education institutions will provide a complete view of the country’s education system, available study options and opportunities for international students.

Prospective students and their parents can learn about exciting programs offered in Canadian post-secondary institutions including photonics engineering, chemical engineering, nursing, dentistry, paralegal education, financial management, marketing, and film production.

Viewers can ask questions directly to the guest speakers about studying in Canada. They can find out about applying for scholarships and adapting to a vibrant and multicultural society.

Canada offers access to a first-class education experience with a culture of hands-on practical learning, close student-teacher engagement, and cutting-edge technology, research and innovation.

Students will have the added advantage of studying in one of the safest, most welcoming societies with modern cities and exceptional natural settings.

In 2020, Canada hosted over 530,000 students from around the world including almost 19,000 from Vietnam, the 3rd largest international student community in the country.

The country’s strong response to the COVID-19 pandemic is another factor in making it a top choice for international students. Canada's proactive response allowed international students to continue working and studying in Canada.

Yet another advantage is that students starting their program online are still eligible for the country’s Post-Graduation Work Permit Program.
