Exports to ASEAN continue to grow

Vietnam recorded encouraging export value to many ASEAN countries in the first two months of 2023, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Exports to Thailand brought in $1.2 billion, up 12.4 per cent year-on-year. Key export items included phones and accessories, vehicles and spare parts, and computers, electronics, and accessories.

Its exports to Singapore reached $677.7 million in the opening two months, up 8.8 per cent. Total trade between the two countries was estimated at $1.49 billion. Most export products were computers, electronics, and spare parts, machinery, equipment and tools, and vehicles and tools.

ASEAN is currently Vietnam’s fourth-largest trade partner.
