French energy businesses promote cooperation with Vietnamese partners
Theworkshop “Electricity Production” of the conference attracted attendees

The conference is part of an Energy Transition Mission which aims at broadening the connections between French and Vietnamese businesses dealing with the power sector, such as the production, the distribution, the storage of electricity and energy, the developing hydrogen technologies.

The event updated important information, including energy transition overview, challenges and business opportunities of Vietnam’s Power Development Plan 8, and cutting-edge solutions for a successful energy transition.

The conference also included 3 workshops: Electricity production; Electricity Distribution & Transmission; Hydrogen, suitable technology for Vietnam, path to commercialization, and transportation.

The conference was attended by EVN, EDF, Hogan Lovells, PTSC, T&T, and a delegation of 10 French companies. They are: EDF (the French state-owned energy company); ACOEM (monitoring of air quality, noise and vibration; meteorological monitoring, reliability of asset); AKROCEAN (turnkey data service to support the development of offshore wind projects: wind resource, metocean and environmental site assessment); ARTELIA (an international multidisciplinary consultancy, engineering and project management group specializing in water engineering, environment, and energy, presented in over 40 countries); HYVITY (an independent hydroelectricity expert that identifies, finances, develops, builds and operates, alone or in partnership, hydroelectric facilities in France and around the world); LACROIX GROUP (an international supplier of technological equipment, providing smart, connected and safe equipment to better manage energy infrastructure); NATIXIS (a subsidiary of BPCE bank); SFE INTERNATIONAL (a main actor in design and production of safety equipment for the maintenance of electrical networks: Low, Medium and High Voltage); SYNERIA (a consultancy firm providing technical advisory and engineering services throughout the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects (mainly wind and photovoltaics); TACQUET INDUSTRIES (expert in on-site machining for hydroelectricity power plants).
