Hanoi to develop new industrial parks
Capital to set aside over 900 ha for newly-added industrial parks.
Hanoi will add four new industrial parks (IPs) as part of recently-adjusted construction planning for the capital in the 2021-2025 period.
The new projects are Soc Son IP on 302.8 ha in Soc Son district, Dong Anh IP on 300 ha in Dong Anh district, Bac Thuong Tin IP on 112 ha in Thuong Tin district, and Phung Hiep IP on 174.8 ha in Thuong Tin district.
The Hanoi People’s Committee asked the management boards of industrial parks and export processing zones to conduct planning for the four projects, to be completed by 2025.
It previously authorized the management boards to plan the construction of IPs in the city in the 2021-2030 period.
According to the People’s Committee, IPs located in the capital are operating stably, with occupancy rates reaching nearly 100 per cent. Of note, the IPs are equipped with advanced infrastructure, which helps connect with other IPs nearby.
